As one of the leading prototype suppliers in the UK, Stadco has in house capabilities to design component and assembly tooling to build anything from a one off mock-up to a small series of production intent body structures.

Stadco's prototype tool design team will design and develop bespoke prototype tooling that will suit the need of the vehicle and the customer. From production intent cast iron draw dies, rubber press tools, hammer forms and GRP moulds, Stadco will design and manufacture the right tooling for the job.

As well as component tooling, Stadco can design the jigs and fixtures required to build a set of prototype parts into a fully representative repeatable body structure.

Stadco carry out all tool design in Catia V5, and as part of the development process these will undergo feasibility checks using forming simulation for component tooling and welding and access checks for the assembly process. Only then will the data be released for the NC programming and subsequent tool manufacture.
