Alias and Image Studio produce excellent photo-realistic still images and fixed animations, however, this can not replace the benefits of interacting with a physical model. Stadco have invested in Opticore Realiser and Ray-tracing, a real-time, interactive visualisation package for viewing CAD data which:

• Produces real-time rendering
• View, zoom, rotate, in real time
• Realistic paint finishes & reflections
• Fully texture mapped
• Interactively scroll colour variants
• Animate geometry
• Scroll through geometry variants

This is presented via our visualisation suite, a dedicated environment with a 4m wide screen and hi-res projector.

Although a physical model will always be required for final sign off Realiser allows us to get a lot closer to the final design and considerably reduces the amount of physical model iterations. Stadco design are still one of the only independent studios in Britain using Opticore Realiser and Ray-tracing and have done so on over ten major projects since 2001.
