Sub-system concept is consideration or incorporation of vehicle derivatives into the concept design. This could be anything from unique identity for different markets/brands to coupe/estate derivatives of a saloon or a complete family of trucks.

Sub-System Concept Process

Stadco Design has extensive experience in designing and producing vehicle derivatives from truck families / car derivatives to modification of production vehicles (such as stretching).

Stadco's manufacturing know-how ensures any derivative, whether planned from the concept or after market is produced in the most cost effective way in respect to material usage, tooling and facility costs.

Our experience means at the start of a new programme, we plan for potential derivatives this gives us a major advantage. Stadco's project teams establish panel breakdown and joints to maximize the commonality of components whilst maintaining structural integrity.

Stadco's process simultaneously allows development with styling, where the object is often to achieve maximum differential with minimal cost and complexity. In addition by using an illustrated BOM to evaluate the build logic we can ensure manufacturing process and build volume are assured.
