Stadco is awarded top supplier status by Ford
Stadco Ltd, the leading supplier of body-in-white services and facilities for the global automotive industry, has announced that its Castle Bromwich facility in the West Midlands, UK, has achieved "Q1" status. Ford Q1 status is one of the highest possible accolades given by the Ford Motor Company to suppliers who have demonstrated excellence in key areas of supply including ongoing performance, site action planning, customer endorsement and continuous improvement.
Stadco's Castle Bromwich plant supplies Ford with aluminium skin panels for various Land Rover and Jaguar models. To qualify for the award, Stadco has had to fulfil a stringent set of criteria.
Delighted at being recognised as a class-leading supplier by one of the most important global players in the industry, John Harland, Plant Director, Stadco Castle Bromwich explained: "Ford, like other OEM customers, has exacting demands and therefore sets the very highest standards for their suppliers. Achieving Q1 status is recognition of all the hard work and investment at our Castle Bromwich facility and underlines our drive to offer customers the highest levels of quality."
Stadco's Castle Bromwich facility is the largest independent press facility in the UK. Constructed on the former Dunlop site, the plant has enjoyed considerable investment since it opened in March 2004. Importantly, the investment has allowed Stadco to engineer the facility so that it is fully compatible with the largest press shops of the major vehicle manufacturers.
The Ford Q1 award encourages a supplier's continued improvement in business and quality standards and Stadco has reiterated its commitment to maintaining its class leading position amongst the best Tier 1 suppliers in the world.
