Stadco appoints Stampings Process Manager
Stadco Ltd, a leading supplier of body-in-white services and facilities for the automotive industry, has announced the appointment of Dennis Ruffels as Stampings Process Manager, based at the company's head office in Shrewsbury.
The appointment of Mr Ruffels to the new role underlines Stadco's commitment to providing the highest level of quality and the very latest innovations and technology in stamping processes to OEM customers. The appointment is particularly important as it comes at a time when Stadco continues to grow, and establish facilities in other key and emerging markets.
Dennis will be primarily responsible for the management of the activities of Stamping Engineers on numerous projects, and the introduction of new technologies and tooling standards, whilst ensuring consistency in the execution on all client projects. Furthermore, Mr Ruffels will develop toolmakers in low-cost countries, and provide a platform for the growth in the skills base of young engineers.
Dennis brings over 35 years of experience in body-in-white and stamping in the automotive industry, and has previously worked for the Land Rover Stamping Engineering division where he managed the press tooling content of the new T5 Discovery & Range Rover Sport models. He also held roles at the BMW Group, and Rover Body & Pressings organisations.
Delighted at the appointment of Mr Ruffels, Andrew Morriss, Managing Director of Stadco said: "Dennis brings a wealth of experience in stamping for OEMs to our company, which will ensure that Stadco remains at the forefront of body-in-white technology, and that both our existing and new customers continue to benefit from the high level of expertise and technology which we can offer."
Stadco is one of Europe's leading suppliers of body-in-white panels and assemblies to vehicle manufacturers including Ford, BMW, Jaguar, Land Rover, Aston Martin, GM and Toyota.
