Stadco wins major Freelander spare part contract
Stadco, one of Europe's leading suppliers of Body-in-White panels and pressings to the automotive industry has announced that it has been awarded a major contract to supply all body panel spares for Land Rover's Freelander model.
Since being launched in 1998, the Land Rover Freelander has become one of the UK's best selling and popular 4x4s. Stadco will press the spare parts for the Freelander for the aftermarket across its six sites in the UK and will then paint and assemble the components at its Holbrooks Lane, Coventry plant.
The Holbrooks Lane plant has established a reputation as a specialist centre for niche and low volume manufacture as well as offering the automotive aftermarket a unique 'one-stop shop' for pressing, painting and packing of spare parts. Stadco Coventry currently undertakes work such as aluminium pressings for Aston Martin's V8 Vantage and DB9 and body panel and coating work for Land Rover's popular Defender model. Stadco has also announced that it will now invest in the paint shop at the Coventry plant to ensure that it remains a world-class facility.
Stadco is one of Europe's leading suppliers of Body-in-White panels and pressings to vehicle manufacturers including Ford, BMW, Jaguar and Land Rover. Stadco has 7 manufacturing sites, 6 in the UK and one in Germany.
